How do I sign up to the website?

Signing up to our website only takes three easy steps:​​​​

  1. Go to
  2. Click login at the right of the menu bar
  3. Enter your details and click sign up and you will be taken to your account page

Something isn't working, what should I do?

In the event that you have any problems with the website please contact and a member of the team will get in touch as soon as possible to help you.

What is Team Energise?

Team Energise is one of the teams from Wood taking part in the Million Maker’s Challenge. The Challenge runs from the 1st of July to the 31st of December every year with multiple companies all over the UK taking part, each company team aims to reach the target

fundraising goal of £10,000

How do I sign up to the Energy Transition Challenge?

Signup for the Energy Transition Challenge isn't available until the 20th September, until then please feel free to explore our site to find out more about the team and what we're doing.
Once signup is live please follow these steps:

  1. If you already have an account and haven’t logged in, click the log in button
  2. Click the “Already a member? Log In” option and choose log in with email
  3. You will be taken to your account home page and from there click “Create Leaderboard Profile” in the account menu bar
  4. Enter the following:
    • First Name (Required)
    • Last Name (Required)
    • Company (Optional)
    • Initial Calories (Must be zero)
    • Initial kWh (Must be zero)
    • Team name (Optional)
    • Choose a profile picture to appear on the leader board (Optional)

Entering your company and team name is optional but these can be used to filter the leaderboard later.

When is the Energy Transition Challenge?

The Energy Transition Challenge will run from the 20th September to the 30th October.

Do I have to work for Wood to take part?

No, anyone is welcome to take part and we encourage you to get your friends, family and colleagues involved.

How do I update my score on the leaderboard?

  1. Go to your account home page and click “Update Leaderboard” from the menu bar.
  2. Enter your new calorie total, if you aren’t sure how many you’ve burned click on “Not sure how many you’ve burned?” and our calorie calculator will come up.
  3. Select your activity from dropdown and enter the duration of your exercise and your weight into the boxes, click calculate and the calories you have burned will appear in the box below.
  4. Make a note of this number and click the cross in the corner.
  5. Enter your new calories into the “calories to add” box and click “Calculate New Totals”.
  6. Your new totals will appear in the New Totals boxes below.
  7. Enter your new totals into boxes marked “Calories” and “kWh” below and click submit.

How does the calorie calculator work?

The calorie calculator uses your weight, the exercise you carry out and the MET (Metabolic Equivalent) associated with the activity you're doing to calculate how many calories you've burned.

I missed the start date, can I still take part?

Yes! You can start the challenge at any point while it is still running.

Do I have to be in the UK to take part?

No, this challenge is open to anyone and everyone regardless of where you live or work.

How do I get sponsors?

To get sponors you need to ask friends, family, colleagues or anyone else to sponsor you.

Where should my sponsors donate?

When you create your leaderboard profile you also add your name to the Energy Transition Challenge Just Giving page, if you added the link to your name to your leaderboard profile there will be a button below your name on the leaderboard so people can donate directly to you!

What if my activity isn't in the calorie calculator?

If you're chosen activity isn't in the calculator then please choose the one from the list most similar.

How do I join the Just Giving team?

From the leaderboard profile creation page click the button to Join our Just Giving. You will then either need to sign in to your existing Just Giving account or create a new one. Then create your fundraising page, set your target fundraising and create your link. You will then be notified you have successfully joined the team, now click on the link to your fundraising page and copy the link and return to the wesite signup page and copy your Just Giving Link into the marked box.
